The elephant and the ass,
still play their foolish game.
The elephant boasts his size and ivory,
to reclaim his name and fame.
The ass has done what asses do,
in his term to bear the gauntlet,
he sat upon a throne of glass,
so the world might view his fuzzy ass.
But, the elephant acts as he bears a cross,
to save the donkey's disappointed fans
a sly smile curls under his ivory tusk,
but shall it win the brotherhood of man?
The ass only wanted to help,
and change, it sounded good,
good in theory, bad in practice,
was his plan for common good.
The elephant drinks from muddy water,
and he offers you a sip,
but ought you take from him the chalice,
and press it to your weary lip?
Oh, step right up and cast your vote,
for the wheel is still in spin,
but when Tuesday's child stops its rotation,
Schrodinger just might win...
